ode to Mulder and Scully
Tonight, for no compelling reason whatsoever, I miss the days when the X-Files was the bees knees. We were newlyweds as the show dawned. Each Thursday night meant big bowls of buttery salted popcorn, iced tumblers of Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke, and thrillingly bizarre new voyages into finding the elusive truth that IS OUT THERE.

That is so funny that you mentioned this--just a day or two ago Joel was lamenting how much he misses X-Files and wishes there was another show like it today.
We watched the premiere of Eureka last night. It's a sci-fi type of show, right along the lines of X-Files. Joel really liked it. It's worth checking out, if you get a chance.
and the pouting brooding Moulder....
the days when I liked Douchovney.
LOL
Love it. Eureka was a trip...btw Doodles :)
OK, you guys have inspired me. I need a new psuedo Sci Fi entertainment inspiration. Eureka sounds ideal, except that I have been fortunate to spent some time in the REAL town of Eureka. And it is so utterly NOT out of this world. LOL. Serene, beautiful, and saturated with nature, but people hovering in the air or other assorted supernatural events? Um, no.
At least, not until the next show is on, anyway. Thanks for the inspiration, girls!
I too miss the X-Files, but I always remembered it being on Sunday nights. Is this right or am I slowly losing it? The latter is probably more accurate.
I was a late-comer to C-Files and caughtmost of it in reruns. If you can believe this, the first time my wife and I saw the show was in a movie theater.
Hi Lachen-I've been to Eureka Springs, and that would explain how people got up in the air.
Doug - is it kind of like Old Faithful, launcing people into the air by sheer water power?
LOL - it's a stretch, but a funny one to contemplate.
And Kansas Bob - welcome! I know what you mean about coming late to the party when it comes to TV shows. I was a season late to the "Office" phenom. What was I thinking? ")
Man I really miss that show.....sigghhhh
