Ode to Code
I fink I am gettink a code,
I fink I am gettink a code.
My head is real achey,
My body is shakey.
My nose is all runny,
My voice sure sounds funny.
I don't want to eat,
I'm wearing 3 pairs of socks on my feet.
My cheeks are flushed red,
and I wanna go to bed.

I found you by way of Citizen Mom -- and had to say I was most impressed with your cogent and thoughtful response, especially since I found myself nodding in agreement. :) (I've decided it's healthier for me to simply opt out of all such discussions anymore because I get too foamy at the mouth and do not come across very well. Sad commentary for someone who is supposed to work in communications!)
So then I hopped over here and discovered your posts here are every bit as fabulous!
Arwen, WELCOME! (and as an aside: we considered "Arwen" as a name for our daughter because of our mutual long-standing love affair with Tolkein - gorgeous name!)
I 100% empathize with the frustration so often encountered when we read something which BEGS for a response, but not to be able to muster the time, or strength, or "serenity-now" sense of calm that must be in place before tackling such important, meaty topics.
Thank you for gracing my board with your thoughtful presence! You are most welcome to kick off your shoes (borrow one of my spare pairs of socks if you like), and get comfortable. I am blesed to be surrounded by people of integrity and depth who regularly visit my little corner of the blogosphere.

V - I am down to two pairs of socks this morning, but they are big floppy, super warm ones. Baby steps.
